Redefining Dallas
Wind & Foster was commissioned by Visit Dallas and the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau to renew the image of Dallas, Texas. Our mission was to find a solution that could present Dallas as an exciting destination, beyond the business landscape that it's known for.
Bringing a city to life
This initiative was more than a project. It was a journey into the soul of Dallas, challenging the perception of a corporate city. We set out to showcase the real Dallas, its community, culture, and identity.
Alternative tourism
Our approach ‘less place, more people’ was the antithesis of tourism. The idea transcended conventional storytelling and offered in return a reflection of the city's spirit.
Creative partnerships
We brought together the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the Texas Ballet, Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Bruce Wood Dance. The project was a mix of cultural expressions, capturing over 100 dance professionals in an intricate move across the city.
The Outcome
'Moving Dallas' has emerged not just as a project but as a cultural beacon. It has successfully shifted perceptions of Dallas, painting it as a hub of artistic innovation. The project redefined not only how Dallas is viewed but also set a benchmark in cultural storytelling.
