Reimagining San Francisco
Commissioned by San Francisco Travel, we brought a new lens to one of the world’s most iconic urban landscapes. Our brief was to interpret the energy and identity of the city and turn its people and everyday locations into cinematic spaces of expression.
A city of shifting stories
San Francisco is a city that continually reinvents itself. A place where untold stories are woven into its cultural fabric. We embraced this constant reinvention, turning ordinary interactions into moments of spontaneous choreography.
Dancing between reality and myth
Inspired by the mythic quality of cities, we sought to frame San Francisco not just as a backdrop, but as a character. We worked with real people in real spaces, allowing the city’s architecture, light, and energy to shape each performance.
Capturing humour
San Francisco’s identity is rooted in its ability to be unconventional. We use this quality to inspire a playfulness and connection in out approach. This helped us reveal a city that moves not just through its streets, but through the people who call it home.
The city as a stage
The final work is a tribute to San Francisco’s perpetual motion. A place where culture and history collide in unexpected ways.
A creative collaboration
Our collaboration with San Francisco Travel was built on a shared vision—to showcase the city’s energy through movement. Our work also led to a strong relationship with the San Francisco Dance Film Festival, furthering our connection to the city’s arts scene.
