Twin Cities: An immersive digital experience

A Cinematic Journey
Wind & Foster were asked by the British Council to devise an interactive online experience that bridges the urban landscapes of London and Hong Kong. Our solution was ‘Twin Cities’, an immersive digital placemaking experience.

Interactive Digital Experience
Launched at SPARK Festival in Hong Kong, ‘Twin Cities’ invites audiences to experience parallel journeys through London and Hong Kong from the perspectives of two commuters. The project highlights the deep, sibling-like connection between the two cities.

Innovative Storytelling
The online installation explores themes of separation and connection, guided by narrator Claire Perkins. It sensitively reflects on the transition of Hong Kong from British to Chinese governance, drawing parallels with the challenge of maintaining bonds across continents.

International partnerships
Led by Wind & Foster, this project was a collaboration between The British Council, MTR, Transport for London, Hong Kong Ballet and London’s Tavaziva Dance Company, uniting artistic production from across the globe. Watch the final piece here: Twin Cities.
